Community Programs Positions closing March 9, 2022

The Township of St. Clair is currently accepting applications for the following Community Programs positions:

Lifeguard/Instructors
Working directly under the supervision of the Coordinator of Community Programs, this position is responsible for providing safe enjoyable aquatics for patrons by maintaining constant vigilance. The lifeguard/instructor’s priority is the prevention of injury and effective rescue. Employees will be sufficiently qualified and current to lifeguard and instruct according to Ontario Health Regulations.

Education and Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current Red Cross/Life Saving Society Instructors
• Current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Service
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR “C”
• Availability for shift work, evenings, weekends and holidays required.

Recreation Camp Counselors and Camp Lead
Working directly under the supervision of the Coordinator of Community Programs, thee positions are responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of children registered in Junior or Senior Summer Camp.

Education and Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have a High School Diploma with preference given to those with post-secondary education in a related field. Additional requirements include:

• Current Standard First Aid
• Basic Rescuer C.P.R. certification
Experience working with children ages 5 to 14 years
