The Department of Community Services is seeking a motivated individual experienced in the maintenance of various Campgrounds, parks and various facilities. Reporting to the Coordinator of Facilities and Parks and the Campground Lead Hand. The Maintenance Seasonal (Parks and Camp Grounds) will perform duties associated with the operation of our campgrounds, parks, repairs and janitorial duties.

This position will be required to work 16 – 40 hours per week which will include shift work seven days a week. The entry level for this position is $17.20 with job rate being $20.67 per hr.

Description . The preferred candidate will have experience outdoor lawn maintenance, general building repairs and janitorial duties. Full job description available upon request

Maintenance Seasonal (Parks and Campgrounds)

Facilities Coordinator or Campground Lead Hand

Summer Students as directed by the Supervisor

To prepare grounds and buildings of Campgrounds and Parks for guest use.

1. Cut grass, plant and maintain flowerbeds and grounds of parks and campground.
2. Trim trees, clean up rubbish and organize garbage.
3. Repair and upkeep park buildings with Township or contracted help.
4. Clean washrooms and buildings.
5. Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
6. Complete minor maintenance on park equipment.
7. Make sure all campground rules and regulations are followed.
8. Collect fees from guests when required.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Grade 12

Preferred 1 year in related work
